Wages up in Poland: stats office

The average gross monthly wage in Poland rose 3.4 percent last year compared with 2016 in real terms, the country’s Central Statistical Office reported on Friday.

Polish employees earned PLN 4,271.51 (EUR 1,017, USD 1,247) on average a month in 2017, up from PLN 4,047.21 in 2016, the office said.
In 2016, the average wage in Poland increased by 4.2 percent over 2015, according to the statistics office.
Meanwhile, in the final quarter of last year, the average gross monthly wage rose 7.1 percent from the same quarter of 2016 to PLN 4,516.69 (EUR 1,076, USD 1,320), the office announced.
