The deal ended the “majority of disputes between the two companies”, the wPolityce website reports.
The website added that the contract also “regulates the rates of oil transport”, which will improve the financial situation of the refinery belonging to Poland's Orlen.
The contract was signed by Ireneusz Fąfara, the head of Orlen in Lithuania, and Mantas Bartuska, the head of the Lithuanian railways.
wPolityce notes that the deal means more than just an agreement between the two companies, since the ceremony on Wednesday took place at the office of the Lithuanian Prime Minister and was attended by the country's Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis. (rg/pk)
