Ground broken on Mercedes factory in Poland

Car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has broken ground on its first Polish plant, a facility in Jawor, southwestern Poland, worth roughly EUR 500 million (PLN 2 billion).

Polish Development Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony, said: “Engines made in Poland will power not only new Mercedes cars but also the Polish economy”.
Construction of the car engine manufacturing plant is expected to be finished in 2019. (vb/pk)
