Poland’s trade surplus rises

Polish exports hit more than PLN 798 billion, while imports stood at close to PLN 778 billion from January to December 2016, according to a preliminary estimate by the Central Statistical Office.

Poland’s trade surplus reached nearly PLN 21 billion, up from nearly PLN 10 billion in 2015.
Germany remained Poland’s most important trading partner last year. Its share in Polish exports increased by 0.2 percentage points to 27.3 percent.
Germany’s share in Polish imports increased by 0.5 percentage points to 23.4 percent.
