The number of Polish meat-processing plants permitted to export beef to Turkey is on the increase, the ministry said, adding that Saudi Arabia also expressed a desire to buy Polish beef and poultry.
Algeria also wants to import fish and honey from Poland, the MRiRW said.
The Turkish authorities have informed the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate (GIW) that checks carried out in late June and early July at three Polish abattoirs gave the green light for beef from the plants to be exported to Turkey.
A total of nine Polish beef producers now have access to the Turkish market. (rg)
