GUS: January-August Polish exports grew 7.2% y/y

Polish exports jumped 7.2 percent to EUR 115.6 million in the first eight months of the year, reported the Central Statistical Office of Poland.

Between January and August 2015, the Central Statistical Office, GUS, noted that imports rose 3.3 percent to 113.4 million euros.
GUS has estimated that this year will end with an export surplus of EUR 2.2 billion against the previous year's EUR 1.9 billion.
Poland recorded an increase in exports to the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Britain, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, France, and Sweden.
Increased imports came from USA, China, Germany, the Czech Republic, France, the UK, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
“A drop in exports was recorded in trade with Russia, and imports from Russia and Italy,” the Central Statistical Office added. (ua/rg/rk)
