Although Poland has fared better than a year ago in the ranking of the digital economy and digital society, drawn up by the European Commission, the country still has a lot to learn from other European countries.
In 2013. 8.3 percent of Poland’s small and medium-sized enterprises sold their products online, while last year, the figure had risen to 9.3 percent. Meanwhile, the EU average was 15 percent.
However, Polish companies rarely benefit from cloud computing, and the volume of international sales is also disappointing.
The result? In terms of the use of new technologies, Poland fares 23rd overall in the EU, improving one place since the previous year. (rg)
