The value of the Polish online advertising market is now estimated at 2.5 billion (about 600 million euro) and it continues to grow.

However, the more advertising, the more annoyed the user is. According to Interaktywnie.com, 94 percent of internet users do not tolerate pop-up banners and 75 percent say the same of advertising videos.

“The internet is like a gigantic marketplace these days,” Piotr Prajsnar, CEO of Cloud Technologies, told business daily Puls Biznesu. “Vendors try to encourage us to buy products, which we are not interested in, and they do it in a very pushy way.”

The situation prompts marketing experts to look for advertising formats that would reach a given target group, which could be interested in buying a product or service. They are increasingly inclined to choose advertising targeted with the help of an analysis of customer needs.

“The role of this type of advertising will certainly continue to grow and this format will be the main market segment in online advertising in the future,” Maciej Wyszynski, CEE managing director at Sociomantic Labs told the daily. (kw)
