All pork and pork derivatives are subject to the ban, Ukrainian sanitary inspectors announced, Monday.
The move comes merely a month after Kiev allowed Polish pork products to be imported to the country.
Last week, Polish veterinary inspectors found ASF in a domestic herd of pigs in the north-east of the country, the first time the disease had been reported since a number of wild boar were found to have the virus earlier this year.
Some 200 pigs are to be culled as a result of the discovery. (jb)
