Polish smartphone-producer Manta plans European exports

Polish electronics company Manta is planning to expand its smartphone exports across Europe in 2014.

Manta began exporting smartphones to Ukraine and Russia in 2013, and according to Export Director Maciej Paluchowski, the company has set its sights on Germany, the UK, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania for 2014.
Paluchowski told Lithuanian daily Lietuvos Rytas that Manta's smartphones should be available on the Lithuanian market over the next few months.
Manta was founded in Warsaw in 1998, and the company's products, most of which are already exported, include computer accessories, LCD displays, DVD players, recorders, tablets and small appliances.
Overall sales for 2013 reached 150 million zloty (35.7 million euro). (nh)
