Polish respondents' tastes echo an international trend, with nine of the world's most highly rated retail firms offering online shopping.
Among Polish customers, Allegro – a Polish equivalent of EBay - topped the rankings in several categories, including value for money, range of products, quality of service, and likelihood to be recommended to friends.
The research by OC&C Strategy Consultants takes in eight countries, and online retail giant Amazon emerged as the most highly rated company internationally.
In Poland, Allegro was followed in popularity by Swedish home appliances chain IKEA, cosmetics and drugstore network Rossmann, bookshop, media and music store Empik and supermarket Biedronka.
In terms of most competitive prices, Biedronka topped the rankings, while quality of products was won by upmarket alternative Alma. (nh)
