Elton John in Poland this July

His two open-air gigs are to be held in Łódź on 7 July and in Gdańsk a day later.

The concert at the Ergo Arena in Gdańsk will be a promotion of Elton John’s new CD, to be released later this year, but some of his greatest hits, such as Rocket Man, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, and I'm Still Standing are also on the programme.

Elton John has performed in Poland several times. In 2006, during the International Song Festival in Sopot, he received the Golden Nightingale Award from former president Lech Wałęsa. In May 2010 he performed at Warsaw’s Polonia Stadium. (mk)
