Singers from Bulgaria, Georgia, Spain and South Korea were expected to battle it out with three Poles in the annual Tournament of Tenors.
The repertoire included a selection of popular arias from operas and operettas as well as Neapolitan songs.
Every year prior to the concert, each member of the audience is presented with a rose. The flowers are then used in a vote for best singer. The one who receives the largest number of roses is declared the tournament’s winner.
The event was launched in 1994. It was revived in 2000 and has since been a regular fixture of the summer cultural calendar in Szczecin.
