Polish consulate coming to Belfast

A Polish consulate is to be opened in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to cater to some 35,000 Poles living in the area.

It is to be headed by Consul General Dariusz Adler, who has previously been posted to Chicago, London and Edinburgh.
According to the IAR news agency, it is to start accepting inquiries in November. Until then, Poles in Belfast will have to continue relying on their nearest consulate in Edinburgh, 300 kilometres away. (vb)
