Around 120,000 volunteers braved the cold and took to the streets to raise money for the charity.
This year, money is being raised to “save lives of children in paediatric wards and to provide dignified medical care for patients in geriatric wards,” the charity said.
Around 1,700 donation centres are in operation nationwide, as well as dozens of points abroad.
By around midnight, PLN 62.4 million had been donated to the charity. (rg)
