“The Border” is expected to launch later this month, although the exact date remains unknown. The first of six episodes will be broadcast on Channel 4, and the rest will be available on the “Walter Presents” VOD service.

Channel 4’s VOD service is among the biggest in Europe, with more than nine million streams. It offers some of the most successful European TV series, like “Kabul Kitchen” and “Locked Up.”

The plot of “The Border” focuses on border guard captain Wiktor Rebrow, who is the only survivor of a bomb attack in which all his unit and his girlfriend are killed.

He is accused of plotting the murder and then tries to clear his name, investigating who is responsible for the attack.

The series was directed by Michał Gazda and Kasia Adamik for HBO Poland and premiered in this country in October 2014. (tf/pk)
