Blood and Honour and Combat 18, two far-right extremist groups active in Poland and across Europe, have been added to a list of outlawed terrorist organisations in Canada, a news website has reported.
The Canadian government has said that Blood and Honour is "an international neo-Nazi network whose ideology is derived from the National Socialist doctrine of Nazi Germany."
Meanwhile, Combat 18 was described as Blood and Honour's "armed branch" and a group that “has carried out violent actions, including murders and bombings.”
Blood and Honour and Combat 18 operate in various European countries, among them Poland, the onet.pl news service reported.
It noted that the Canadian government’s list of terrorist organisations numbers around 60 entities, among them al-Qaeda and the so-called Islamic State.
The designation means that tracking and arresting members of such groups is a priority for Canadian police, according to the Polish website.
Members of such groups are refused entry into Canada, onet.pl also said.
