Polish, Ukrainian, US presidents talk ahead of UN summit

The Polish president has spoken with his Ukrainian and US counterparts and attended a party for participants in the United Nations General Assembly, a top Polish official has said.

According to the Polish president's chief of staff Krzysztof Szczerski, Andrzej Duda and Trump exchanged pleasantries and agreed to talk about security at the UN.
As has become a tradition on the occasion of United Nations meetings, Duda also spoke with Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko, who asked for support of reforms enacted in Kiev.
Szczerski said that Duda also took part in the opening of a Polish foreign trade office in Manhattan and at an event at a Polish diplomatic post commemorating this year's centennial of Polish independence.
Duda, accompanied by his wife, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, went to the US for a three-day visit with the 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations on Tuesday the main point on the agenda. (vb/pk)
