Duda’s five-day trip to Australia and New Zealand includes stops in Canberra, Sydney, Auckland and Wellington as well as Melbourne, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
The journey marks the first ever official visit by a Polish head of state to those two countries, according to Duda's chief of staff, Krzysztof Szczerski.
The itinerary includes a Polish-Australian energy forum that Duda will open, in addition to "political talks with major politicians in both countries,” the signing of "contracts and bilateral documents" on defence cooperation, and meetings with Poles living in Australia and New Zealand, Szczerski has said.
