Duda said that the two countries “keep working to safeguard our shared interests in the Euro-Atlantic area.”
He singled out a stable and well-developing European Union, the North Atlantic Alliance, which guarantees security, and enhanced regional cooperation as priorities for Estonia and Poland.
Duda also recalled the visit that Kaljulaid paid to Poland soon after assuming office and praised her personal engagement in the Three Seas Initiative and in the Bucharest Nine group.
Estonia declared independence on February 24, 1918, and defended it in a war with Bolshevik Russia which lasted until 1920.
