Polish and Spanish police have closed seven marijuana plantations, seized 159 kg of the drug, and recovered two stolen cars in Spain, the bureau's spokeswoman, Agnieszka Hamelusz, said.
She added that police in Poland recovered a further 38 cars allegedly stolen in Spain by the gang.
The syndicate was allegedly growing marijuana in Spanish villas and smuggling it in vacuum sealed bags hidden in vegetable shipments destined mainly for Poland and Germany.
Seven of the 13 people of Polish, Spanish, Czech and Moroccan origin will remain in detention for six months. (vb/rg)
