Two Polish journalists freed by Al-Qaeda

Journalist Marcin Mamoń and cameraman Tomasz Głowacki who were abducted by Al-Qaeda forces in Syria over a month ago have returned to Poland.

The two travelled to Syria in mid-November. Their colleagues lost contact with Mamoń and Głowacki after the two crossed the Turkish-Syrian border.
They were most likely kidnapped by militants of one of the factions of Al-Qaeda.
Information about the abduction had not been made public earlier because of their safety.
The two journalist returned to Poland on Sunday evening. (rg)
