The Forum’s agenda includes the Russian challenge and the future of the Eastern Partnership, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), defence requirements in the wake of Russia’s annexation of the Crimea and the Ukraine crisis, as well as the run-up to next year’s NATO summit in Warsaw.

President Bronisław Komorowski will address the Forum tomorrow, Friday, and other speakers include Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, Foreign Minister of Georgia Tamar Beruchashvili, Foreign Minister of Moldova Natalia Gherman, Chairman of the Human Rights Foundation Garry Kasparov and Frederick Kempe, President of the Atlantic Council.

The Freedom Awards will be presented to the Polish film director Agnieszka Holland and, posthumously, to the Russian opposition activist Boris Nemtsov.

Launched in 2010, the Wrocław Global Forum is organised every year jointly by the Atlantic Council and the Polish Institute for International Affairs. (mk/jb)
