Polish president starts two-day visit to Belgium

President Bronislaw Komorowski has began a two-day official visit to Belgium, where he is having talks with King Albert II and head of the European Council Herman van Rompuy.

Komorowski, accompanied by First Ladt Anna will having a special breakfast with King Albert II and Queen Paola at the Royal Palace in Brussels
In the afternoon, the President will travel to Charleroi, where he will visit the science and technology park.
Later, Bronislaw Komorowski will meet with EU chief Herman van Rompuy and the last appointment on a busy first day in Belgian will be talks at the Federation of Belgian Enterprises FEB / VBO.
On Wednesday, the Polish president will meet with the 61 year-old, openly gay Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo, first French-speaking Walloon to lead the country in more than 30 years, at the Palais d'Egmont in Brussels.
Before Elio Di Rupo was designated as prime minister last December, Belgium had spent 541 days without a government. (pg)
