Economic crisis top priority for Denmark EU presidency

Denmark, which will take over the six-month rotating presidency of the European Union on 1 January 2012, presented its priorities of its leadership in Copenhagen recently.

Danuta Isler reports.

Dealing with the financial and economic crisis is the top priority, followed by economic growth with respect to environmental standards, reaching agreement on a budget framework for the period of 2014-2020, internal affairs pertaining to the Schengen agreement, as well as asylum policies with foreign affairs being the fifth point on the agenda.
